  • Sale! beautifully weathered, large-scale stone sculpture meticulously depicts the Hindu deities Vishnu and Lakshmi, seated side-by-side on a magnificent tortoise (Kurma), set against a plain dark gray background. On the left, the male deity, Vishnu, is portrayed with a serene, meditative expression, his eyes gently closed or downcast. He wears an elaborate, multi-tiered crown adorned with intricate carvings and long, flowing hair strands visible beneath it. Vishnu is depicted with multiple arms; one of his right hands is gracefully raised in the Abhaya Mudra, a gesture of reassurance and blessing, while another holds a beautifully rendered lotus bud. His torso is richly adorned with multiple necklaces, a sacred thread, and armlets, all finely carved. His lower body is draped in flowing garments with distinct folds, suggesting movement and softness despite the stone medium. Beside him, to the right, sits his divine consort Lakshmi, mirroring his tranquil expression and wearing an equally detailed, ornate crown and a delicate nose ring.
