shiv parivar murti in brass

  • Sale! magnificent and intricately detailed brass or bronze sculpture depicts the divine Hindu family of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Kartikeya, all radiating a warm, antique golden hue. The entire group is presented seated or standing together on an ornate, multi-tiered rectangular pedestal against a plain, light grey background, allowing the rich details to stand out. On the left, the majestic Lord Shiva is prominently seated, embodying his role as the supreme ascetic and cosmic dancer. He holds his iconic trishul (trident) in his raised left hand, symbolizing his dominion over the three gunas and creation, preservation, and destruction. His right hand is held up in the Abhaya mudra, a gesture of reassurance and fearlessness. He is adorned with traditional ornaments, including a coiled cobra around his arm, and a crescent moon in his elaborately piled hair, which also features the flowing Ganga (Ganges river). His forehead bears the distinct third eye mark, or tilak. To Shiva's right, his divine consort, Goddess Parvati, sits gracefully. She is richly adorned with intricate jewelry, including necklaces, armlets, and a detailed crown, and draped in traditional attire. Her serene expression and gentle posture suggest motherly affection and divine grace, embodying Shakti, the divine feminine energy. Centered between Shiva and Parvati, slightly in front, is their beloved elephant-headed son, Lord Ganesha. He is depicted with his characteristic pot belly, symbolizing prosperity, and his trunk curled to the left. He sits in a comfortable, playful pose, embodying wisdom and his role as the remover of obstacles, gazing towards the viewer. Standing to the far left of the group, a youthful Lord Kartikeya (also known as Skanda or Murugan) is depicted holding a small spear-like weapon, embodying courage and strength. At the very base, positioned near Kartikeya's feet, his vahana, the sacred peacock (mayura), is beautifully sculpted, adding to the composition's rich symbolism of divine vehicles and their significance in Hindu iconography. The meticulous craftsmanship is evident in every detail, from the deities' benevolent expressions and elaborate garments to their distinct attributes and the fine textures of the metallic finish. This traditional Indian sacred art piece represents family harmony, spiritual devotion, and the interconnectedness of divine powers, making it ideal for Pooja rituals, religious offerings, home decor, or as a valuable collectible of cultural heritage. The antique golden finish gives the sculpture a timeless, revered quality, enhancing its spiritual presence.
