Durga herself is rendered with four arms; her upper right hand firmly grasps a weapon resembling a sword or chakra, raised high. Her lower right hand is raised in the Abhaya Mudra, a gesture of fearlessness and blessing, with the palm facing forward. Her upper left hand firmly grasps a tall, prominent trident (Trishula), while her lower left hand rests gently on the lion's head, appearing to caress it or hold a small attribute. The goddess wears an elaborate, multi-tiered crown (mukut) adorned with exquisite patterns, numerous necklaces, bangles on her wrists and arms, and a gracefully draped traditional Indian attire, all embellished with minute, delicate carvings. Her serene face features finely chiseled eyes, a distinct nose, and a gentle, compassionate smile, conveying both divine power and benevolence.
