  • Sale! detailed and imposing dark gray stone statue of the Hindu goddess Kali stands dynamically centered against a softly lit, light gray background that fades to white. The multi-armed deity is captured in a powerful, warrior-like stance, with her right leg bent and raised, poised atop a prone, serene male figure, commonly identified as Shiva, lying supine on a textured, rock-like base. Kali's fierce yet devotional expression is prominent, with her tongue dramatically protruding from her mouth. She is adorned with an elaborate crown, and her wild, unbound hair flows freely around her head and shoulders, symbolizing her untamed cosmic energy. Around her neck hangs a long, distinctive garland of miniature human skulls (mundamala), extending down to her waist, a key element of her iconography. She is depicted with four arms: her upper left hand forcefully wields a curved sword or scythe, while her upper right hand grasps a freshly severed head by its hair. Her lower right hand holds a small skull cup (kapala), traditionally used for offerings, and her lower left hand is raised in a gesture or holds a smaller, ambiguous implement, possibly a club or mace. Her body is minimally clad, draped with a short skirt-like garment and adorned with intricate jewelry including earrings, armlets, and anklets, all meticulously carved from the same dark stone. The entire sculpture, crafted from what appears to be black or dark gray granite or similar robust stone, showcases fine craftsmanship with deep, defined carvings that emphasize texture and form. The dark, monochromatic color scheme enhances the statue's ancient and powerful aesthetic, highlighting its solemn and awe-inspiring presence. The base is intricately detailed, suggesting rocky terrain or a collection of smaller figures, adding to the mythological depth of the piece. A subtle, dark gray watermark "the Stone STUDIO, Transforming your imagination" is visible in the lower right foreground. This compelling work of spiritual art, rich in Hindu symbolism, evokes themes of time, creation, preservation, and destruction, providing a profound visual representation of the goddess Kali's multifaceted role in Hindu mythology and devotional practices, making it a significant piece for any discussion on divine feminine power or religious sculpture.

  • Sale! detailed, full-length sculpture of a fierce Hindu goddess, likely a manifestation of Kali or Chamunda, carved from dark grey or black stone with a visible textured finish. The deity stands tall and centrally, adorned with an elaborate tiered crown and an intricately carved, radiating sunburst-like halo (Prabhamandala) behind her head, symbolizing divine energy. Her striking face features wide, intense eyes, a prominent nose, and most distinctly, a long, menacing tongue protruding from her mouth, a characteristic feature representing her destructive power and defiance against evil. The goddess possesses four arms, each holding symbolic attributes. Her upper left hand wields a large, upright sword (khadga), held powerfully across her shoulder, while her upper right hand holds a small skull cup (kapala). Her two lower hands are open and extended outwards in gestures (mudras), possibly offering blessings, protection, or displaying her power. Her robust torso is adorned with multiple elaborate necklaces and a decorative bodice that accentuates her form. Around her waist, she wears a short, pleated, and stylized ruffled skirt, which could represent a garland of severed heads or animal skin, traditional iconography for such powerful goddesses. Her sturdy legs are adorned with intricate anklets, and her feet are firmly planted on a multi-tiered, circular pedestal. The base itself is meticulously carved with decorative patterns, possibly stylized lotus petals or waves, adding to the sculpture's aesthetic richness. The statue is presented against a plain, light grey background, allowing all the intricate details of the stone carving and the deity's powerful iconography to stand out clearly. This artwork conveys immense strength, divine power, and a protective presence, making it a significant representation of Hindu spiritual art and devotional practice.
