  • Sale! grand, large-scale statue of Gautam Buddha, carved from what appears to be a dark, polished stone like black granite or slate, is prominently featured against a soft, diffused light grey background. The sculpture captures Buddha in a deeply meditative state, seated in the traditional Padmasana (lotus position), with both legs crossed and feet resting on the opposite thighs. His right hand is raised to chest level, with the palm facing outwards, and the thumb and index finger lightly touching to form the Vitarka Mudra. This gesture symbolizes the teaching and intellectual discussion of Buddhist Dharma, representing wisdom and understanding. His left hand rests gently in his lap, palm upward, a gesture often associated with meditation and receiving blessings. Buddha's face is serene and tranquil, with eyes gently closed or downcast, conveying a profound sense of inner peace and mindfulness. Distinct features include the urna, a dot between his eyebrows symbolizing spiritual insight, and elongated earlobes, a sign of his royal past. The top of his head features a prominent ushnisha, the cranial protuberance covered with tight, spiraled curls, signifying his spiritual wisdom and enlightenment. He is gracefully draped in flowing robes that fall in soft, natural folds, meticulously detailed to create depth and texture, reflecting the light subtly across the dark stone surface. The statue sits upon a sturdy, rectangular base with a slightly decorative, possibly lotus-inspired, molding around the bottom edge. Small patches of green moss or grass are visible around the base, hinting at an outdoor garden setting or a natural integration within a contemplative space. A subtle white watermark, "the Stone," is visible on the lower body of the statue, indicating the sculptor or vendor. This impressive piece evokes a powerful sense of calm and spiritual presence, making it ideal for articles discussing meditation, Buddhist philosophy, spiritual home decor, garden sanctuaries, or the profound artistry of religious sculptures designed to foster tranquility and contemplation.

  • Sale! meticulously crafted, two-toned stone statue of Buddha, presented in a full-body shot against a soft, luminous light grey background. The Buddha is depicted seated in the traditional cross-legged Padmasana (Lotus position), embodying profound tranquility and spiritual enlightenment. The sculpture emanates a profound sense of serenity and meditation, perfectly capturing the essence of spiritual enlightenment. • magnificent, highly detailed, dark stone statue of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu deity, is presented centrally against a plain, light grey background. This exquisite spiritual sculpture appears to be crafted from black granite or a similar dark, polished stone, giving it a rich, charcoal-grey hue that accentuates its intricate carvings and smooth contours. Ganesha is depicted seated in a relaxed, yet regal posture known as Lalitasana, with one leg folded and the other (his right) bent at the knee with the foot resting flat, upon a rectangular, multi-tiered pedestal. His iconic elephant head features large, fan-like ears and a prominent, gracefully curved trunk that sweeps to his left side (viewer's right). The tip of his trunk delicately touches a cluster of modaks (sweet dumplings), which he holds in his lower left hand, symbolizing the rewards of spiritual seeking and diligence. A single, unbroken tusk is clearly visible on his right side (viewer's left), while the left tusk appears shorter, referencing the Puranic story of Ganesha breaking his tusk to transcribe the Mahabharata. His head is adorned with an elaborate, tiered crown, meticulously carved with traditional Hindu motifs, and a divine arch or 'prabhavali' rises behind his head, framing his serene expression. Ganesha is shown with his characteristic four arms, each holding symbolic attributes: 1. His upper right hand (viewer's left) firmly grasps an 'ankusha' (elephant goad), symbolizing control over desires and guiding devotees past obstacles. 2. His lower right hand (viewer's left) is raised in the 'Abhaya Mudra,' a gesture of fearlessness, offering blessings and protection. 3. His upper left hand (viewer's right) holds a 'pasha' (noose), representing the attachment to worldly desires and the need for detachment. 4. His lower left hand (viewer's right), as mentioned, holds the sacred modaks. Ganesha’s portly belly, a symbol of prosperity and the ability to consume all sorrows, is prominent. He is adorned with richly carved jewelry, including necklaces, armlets, and ankle bracelets, and wears a delicately draped dhoti with intricate patterns. A sacred thread (yajnopavita) crosses his chest. The robust pedestal beneath him features a continuous band of deeply carved, flowing patterns, possibly floral or wave-like motifs, adding to the statue's traditional aesthetic. The statue's pristine condition and detailed craftsmanship suggest it is a high-quality piece of traditional Indian sculpture, suitable for a home altar, meditation space, or as a significant decorative art piece. The presence of "The Stone Studio" watermark at the bottom right indicates the artisan or vendor of this exquisite work. • richly detailed, vertical hand-carved wooden bracket or pillar section, showcasing traditional Indian craftsmanship. The piece is crafted from polished wood, displaying a natural range of light and dark brown tones, accentuated with black, gold, and subtle teal green paint. The structure is a dynamic stack of finely carved figures, characteristic of temple architectural elements. At the very top, a flat surface transitions into an intricately carved horizontal beam. Below this, square panels feature detailed carvings, including what appears to be a peacock on the left, adorned with teal accents. A downward-tapering finial projects from the underside of the top section. The central and most prominent part of the carving is a vertical succession of powerful, mythical, and real animals. Uppermost in this stack is a fierce, stylized Yali-like creature (a mythical lion-elephant hybrid often found in South Indian art) with a large, dark, flowing mane, an open mouth revealing fangs, and bulging eyes. Its body is rendered in a lighter wood tone with golden highlights. A small, dark-skinned human figure in traditional attire is depicted near its head, possibly as a rider or attendant. Directly below the Yali, a majestic, golden-brown bull (resembling Nandi, the mount of Shiva) stands, richly adorned with intricate gold patterns on its body and saddle. Another small, dark-skinned human figure is seated on the bull's back, holding reins. Supporting the entire structure at the base is a dark grey elephant, heavily ornamented with gold-patterned adornments that suggest a ceremonial saddlecloth and jewelry. The elephant is depicted in a kneeling or crouching stance, its trunk raised in a gesture of reverence or support. A slender, vertical pillar-like element runs down the left side of the bracket, featuring a continuous pattern of carved leaves or scrolls, highlighted with pale teal accents. The entire sculpture exhibits deep relief carvings and fine detailing, emphasizing the texture of the wood and the musculature and adornments of the figures. This exquisite piece exemplifies the artistic traditions and symbolic narratives often embedded in Indian wooden sculpture and temple architecture, making it a compelling decorative element for spaces seeking cultural depth and traditional artistry.
