  • Sale! tall, intricately carved dark stone sculpture, likely crafted from black granite or basalt, depicts a graceful female figure reminiscent of a classical Indian Yakshi, Apsara, or Naga Kanya. The woman stands in a dynamic, sensual pose, her head tilted upwards and slightly to the right, with a serene, almost meditative expression, suggesting contemplation or spiritual connection. Her left arm is raised, hand delicately touching her head or hair, while her right arm is bent at the elbow. She is elaborately adorned with traditional Indian jewelry, including multiple layered necklaces that drape across her chest, ornate bangles on her wrists, and a richly detailed hip belt (kamarbandh) featuring decorative chains and pendants that accentuate her slender waist. Her lower body is covered by a flowing garment, meticulously carved to show intricate pleats and folds, while her upper torso is bare, highlighting the sculpted form and natural contours of the body. Behind and slightly to her left, a large, textured element curves upwards, serving as a backdrop or support. This element culminates at the top in the distinct, flared hood of a multi-headed cobra (Naga), providing a symbolic canopy or protective presence for the figure. The texture of the background element appears organic, possibly representing a tree trunk, a stylized rock formation, or the scales of the serpent's body. The entire sculpture rests on a simple, rectangular plinth of the same dark stone, showcasing the expert craftsmanship, smooth finish, and intricate detailing achieved in the stone carving. The deep, uniform color of the stone emphasizes the play of light and shadow, bringing out the depth and artistry of the carving. This detailed and symbolic piece, characteristic of traditional Indian art and mythology, is presented against a plain, light grey background, allowing the viewer to fully appreciate its form and artistry. The watermark "The Stone Studio" is visible at the bottom right, indicating this is a product or example of their fine stone carving and custom sculpture work, connecting directly to potential article content about handcrafted art, garden statues, or temple sculptures.

  • striking and intricately carved two-tone stone Buddha statue is depicted in a full-frame shot against a clean, plain light gray background. The central figure of Gautama Buddha is seated in the classic Padmasana (full lotus meditation pose), with legs crossed and soles of the feet facing upwards, symbolizing deep stability and inner peace. The body of the Buddha sculpture is rendered in a darker, richly textured granite-like gray stone, showcasing the robust contours of his chest and shoulders. His face, sculpted with remarkable detail, conveys profound serenity and meditative focus, with eyes gently downcast. Prominent features include a distinct urna (a dot between the eyebrows, symbolizing spiritual insight) and the ushnisha (the cranial protuberance on top of the head, representing wisdom and enlightenment). His elongated earlobes are also visible, signifying detachment from worldly possessions. A flowing draped robe, crafted from a contrasting lighter, almost off-white or very pale gray stone, covers his left shoulder and torso, falling in beautifully carved, deeply incised folds that create a tactile and visual distinction from the darker skin. His right hand is raised to chest height in the Vitarka Mudra (the gesture of teaching, discussion, and transmission of Dharma), with the thumb and index finger lightly touching to form a circle, while the remaining fingers are extended. His left hand rests open and palm-upwards in his lap, a gesture of receiving. The entire Buddha statue is set upon a multi-layered, rectangular pedestal, also crafted from the lighter gray stone. The base is elegantly carved with a repeating pattern of stylized lotus petal designs around its circumference, a sacred motif in Buddhist art symbolizing purity, beauty, and spiritual awakening. The logo "the Stone Studio" is subtly visible in the lower right portion of the image. This handcrafted stone artwork is a powerful representation of spiritual tranquility and enlightenment, ideal for meditative spaces, home decor, or garden ornamentation, conveying a sense of profound calm and timeless wisdom. • grand, large-scale statue of Gautam Buddha, carved from what appears to be a dark, polished stone like black granite or slate, is prominently featured against a soft, diffused light grey background. The sculpture captures Buddha in a deeply meditative state, seated in the traditional Padmasana (lotus position), with both legs crossed and feet resting on the opposite thighs. His right hand is raised to chest level, with the palm facing outwards, and the thumb and index finger lightly touching to form the Vitarka Mudra. This gesture symbolizes the teaching and intellectual discussion of Buddhist Dharma, representing wisdom and understanding. His left hand rests gently in his lap, palm upward, a gesture often associated with meditation and receiving blessings. Buddha's face is serene and tranquil, with eyes gently closed or downcast, conveying a profound sense of inner peace and mindfulness. Distinct features include the urna, a dot between his eyebrows symbolizing spiritual insight, and elongated earlobes, a sign of his royal past. The top of his head features a prominent ushnisha, the cranial protuberance covered with tight, spiraled curls, signifying his spiritual wisdom and enlightenment. He is gracefully draped in flowing robes that fall in soft, natural folds, meticulously detailed to create depth and texture, reflecting the light subtly across the dark stone surface. The statue sits upon a sturdy, rectangular base with a slightly decorative, possibly lotus-inspired, molding around the bottom edge. Small patches of green moss or grass are visible around the base, hinting at an outdoor garden setting or a natural integration within a contemplative space. A subtle white watermark, "the Stone," is visible on the lower body of the statue, indicating the sculptor or vendor. This impressive piece evokes a powerful sense of calm and spiritual presence, making it ideal for articles discussing meditation, Buddhist philosophy, spiritual home decor, garden sanctuaries, or the profound artistry of religious sculptures designed to foster tranquility and contemplation.
